Article 1 of the Funding and Management Guide of the Special Account for Research Funds of the International Hellenic University (RC / IHU), pursuant to Law 4957/2022 (Government Gazette 768, Issue B’ / 2-2-2024)

1. At the International Hellenic University, a Special Account for Research Funds (RC) has been established and is in operation, with the purpose of managing and utilizing funds for scientific research, education, training, technological development and innovation, as well as providing related services, in order to achieve its mission.
2. The purpose of the RC, according to Article 229 of Law 4957/2022, is the management and allocation of funds originating from any source of financing, as defined in Article 230 of Law 4957/2022, intended to cover expenses of any kind necessary for the implementation of research, educational, training, and development projects, as well as projects of continuing education, seminars and conferences, the provision of scientific, technological, and artistic services, the preparation of special and clinical studies, the execution of tests, measurements, laboratory examinations and analyses, the provision of expert opinions, the drafting of specifications on behalf of third parties, the design and implementation of scientific, research, cultural and development programs, as well as other related services, for the benefit of the Higher Education Institution.
3. The RC is a distinct legal and financial entity from the Higher Education Institution, without legal personality, and is assigned a separate Tax Identification Number.
